View Full Version : Reducing Branch Specs
I would like to know if anyone knows how to create a Reducing Branch Spec which includes pipe to pipe stub-in welds (either straight or at 45 degree), instead of a reducing branch fitting.
Any input is appreciated.

Creating that reducing branch spec would be easy. One "may" already exist...sort of. See if you have a reducing branch spec for pull tee's. That would be basically the same thing.
After making the reducing branch spec, you would create a new joint to joint referance which would include fish mouth or stab-in or whatever you like to call it. The key to make this work would be to use the two in conjunction with each other. The third step would be to copy one or more of your steel pipe material spec's and assign these to the new spec.
Try it out in a test project. When you have it all working to your satisfaction, copy the specs from your test project to your master project to make it available in every project.
If you need more help making this work, simply post again! :)
