Has anyone tried to use the metric database for this release yet?

When I set the metric database to the default I get an error message (see attached).

I copied the metric database from the previous release and changed the name, as per the installation instructions.

I did the custom install with the metric option checked.

Have you tried to update your catalog? Located in File\ QPI Util\ Update Catalog. Since you changed from Imperial to Metric - wouldn't want to update the catalog?

Hope this helps..

I tried the catalog update but that didn't work. There was never a problem switching between Imperial and Metric databases in version 3.0.

I have since heard from Matt (QP3D support) and he tells me that there is a bug in the new release that prevents Metric database use.

Lucky me:)

Matt and the guys at Quickpen have come up with a solution.

There are a couple of files you need to overwrite on your hard drive and this fixes the problem.

Contact Matt or the support staff for the files.
