Creating or customizing the DWT file should be done in pure AutoCAD. Not piping PD3D. DWT file must be in Paper space. Explode origingal drawing and customize. After all Customizing of DWT the total title block (including all attributes) must be made into a block. Then saved in Model Space.

But - when making the DWT and using QuickPen options (material list placement) - you need to be in the PD3D program. Even when you're in PD3D you're still in the AutoCAD environment, QuickPen is just an add on - all the features of Cad are still there.
To answer your question 3DER - I can only assume this - but sounds like you might still need to place the location of your matieral list on your template. Once this is done be sure to flip over to Model Space as mentioned by MHughes. Another thing I found out is that you should not change the name of the tab in your DWT - PD3D will not spool if this name has been changed.
GREAT THANKS FOR THE TECH SUPPORT
