Yup!! Worked great.

And I just noticed that the notification email for a new thread (one of which I'll start in a minute so you can watch) shows the text of the initial posting.

THis eliminates the need for the user to go to the forum to look at the contents of the initial post ... If he wants to subscribe to the new thread, he still has to go to the forum to subscribe.

And, I notice that since I've set in the CP to subscribe to all threads that I start or respond to, by responding to your post, I've automatically subscribed myself to your thread. Not bad! :-)

i believe the defualt is to subscribe a user to any thread they reply too unless they change their preferences in the CP. Now we need to get the guys from the Y Group over here.

I am looking to see if i can switch everyone's subscription preferences so all of the users don't have to do it.

Um, we need to be careful that all of a sudden, all our members aren't getting (unsolicited) notifications of posts ... unless we deem that's ok! :-)
