Has anyone been able to come up with a way to tag structural members in ADT? Having a TOS & BOS labeled on the beams is very useful during coordination meetings. As well as while drawing, as a point of reference.
Is there a lisp or a method in ADT that I've overlooked?
If you have PD3D, you can use their "Annotate Miscellaneous Elevation" lisp. It's not automatic, though.

Yes. we do have PD3D.
2 users draw with PD3D and 2 with DD3D.
Is there a way to get this lisp into DD3D? i've tried but it's not happning for me. I cant find it. Any thoughts?
I'll see what I can do. If I can find the lisp, I can get it into DD3D. It may take me a few days before I get a chance to do this. I'll let you know.

Have you had any luck finding that .lisp?
I have actually been busier than crap lately. I'll try and check in to it soon.

I have been asking the same thing to tech support. I am surprised that the ADT does not have an annotation for the steel or the massing. I did not get any reply from the tech support at quickpen. I have had the system since December and we have never drawn in AutoCAD before, so we have been slow at picking it up, but it's better.
I wonder if I asked tech support for the lisp file would they respond to that question. Have you tried that already?
How do you like the program? I have had a million problems with it in the beginning, but it is getting better. Mechanical Data has made changes to Vulcan import to help with the download problems, and the new 1.4 issue stopped the DD3D from downloading the spiral pipe to the plasma table. I am all about not having to edit everything that it downloads. It is getting better.
I keep asking tech support about the DD3D editor where you set the duct styles. Do you know how to make the pressure files refer to the proper style table? I set up different style tables but I don't know how to make the pressure files refer them.

Matt Hudson told me how to get the ADT to tag the elevations. It was not difficult. You call up the ADT tool pallette, go to the annotations tab, pick the one that says plan elevation label, and then go the isometric view and pick what you want to be elevated. The elevation shows up on the plan view, but the ones that I did this morning were correct, I checked them with my calculator. My problem was that I had told my tool pallette to only show the design tool pallette, but once I turned all of the tabs back on the annotation one showed up.
I bet this works with concrete slabs too, but I haven't checked that. I have to check everything, I don't trust anybody with my drawings.
