Interface with PD3D [Archive]

I'm curious as to what the members of the Forum feel about the need for an interface between PD3D and AutoBid mechanical?
From what I was told at time of purchase was this was to be available in the next release.

I don't see the need but our company has been wanting that for some time now. I think it will be a waste of time to draw every bid

It is available in the 5.0 release. What this does is allow you to bid the job with ABMC and then use PD3D to create your coordination/shop drawings. After that you can export the materials from PD3D and run a report on the cost of material in your PD3D drawing along with labor.

Does ABMC begin the drawing for PD3D?? Or is the interface only in the reverse...
