Does anyone have any advise for using ABSM for doing equipment takeoff? I currently only use it for the sheetmetal. On occasion I use symbols for the equipment. I would like to use ABSM for the entire estimate. Any advise?

I take off everything w/ ABSM. The easiest way I have found is to use the Symbol Schedule for pc's of equip that I don't have in a pre-made assembly, like a RTU or PRV. Small things like VAV's or Inline fans that need hangers I have set up in an assembly with all the hanger material already in there. It saves a load of time and you don't worry about missing all the little things. Bonus: all the equip shows up in Quote Manager where you can see it w/ quantities and input your quotes. Quote Manager also works well if you need to send a list of stuff to that Vendor that always waits to the last minute or is to busy to come in and do a takeoff himself.
