R Fitting? I must use a different name.

I think we have prevoiusly discussed DD3D fittings, where QP should review other programs fittings and add similar. They could make a list of fittings out there (picture/sketch) and have us vote on which ones we like to see ASAP and possibly add ones they missed.

I also believe there are Vulcan fittings that DD3D doesn't have...which was the same problem we had on the last program. To us, it seems like a no brainer to have the same fittings between CAD & CAM.

Is the fitting in Vulcan? If, so QP goes by the number of the item since some fittings in the industry has multiple names.

Don't know what R fittings are but agree it would be nice to have the whole Vulcan library especially a Parker fitting. Also wish they would fix the rectangular transition to overall body length and have the straight deducted just like the other fittings also top, bottom, left, right sets instead of centerline. Just a thought.

some people might call it a tee or y-branch but I've always heard them refered as a r fitting because it looks like a lower case r

Yeah and whats up... vulcan and quickpen are the same company why don't the vulcan fitting's match the quickpen library or at least let you modify them the same????

Thats what I thought, the "r" shape fitting was what you were talking about. I am used to the old programs name, which I don't get how they got the name they used for it. Used the fitting on a project a long time ago...regardless, it is an industry fitting and it should be available.

If fitting is in Vulcan, could fake it in DD3D...of course the ME might get a little confused and put the red pen to it.

I don't understand why we can't change the y fitting to this shape.

And why they don't have it is beyond me. You eliminate the need to cut a tap in.

I agree, more of the Vulcan fittings need to be in quickpen. My installers are familiar with the fittings in Vulcan, and I have no way to draw those fittings in dd3d. I have been trying to get the Parker fitting into dd3d since we installed the program, but with no luck. Maybe there working on it.
