Hangers

We just loaded the new update and I am having problems with not having the options to toggle hangers on/off when you start a run from a vertical. No mater which way I start from a vertical the hangers are always on and this is causing me problems.

This problem came up after we installed service release 2, try to start a run from a vertical with the hangers turned off.

I am trying to replicate your problem, but I am getting the expected results. Please be a bit more specific so I can try it your way.

Start a new run at 20ft go to a second point and either do an elevation change to 1ft or a add drop/rise. In the vertical takeoff screen place a tee, then do an okay and start from. the problem I am having is that the new horizontal piping will always have the hangers on, their is no way to estimate the branch with the hangers turned off. even when the hangers are off during the regular takeoff they will turn on for the new branch piping.

OK, you are half right. When simply changing elevations, my hanger settings are staying the way I set them. But when adding a tee in the vertical drop, my hanger settings are changing. I will report this to QuickPen.

The "problem" you are describing will be corrected in ABMC v4.0
Until then the work around is to go ahead and start the branch lines first touch point after clicking OK and Start from, then turn the hangers setting to desired option and continue.
